Montano cheese is a mountain cheese, produced in the Dolomites the North East region of Italy. Texture and flavours are strong, similar to Parmesan, ideal to grate or just to enjoy by itself with a glass of red wine.

As we cut the cheese by hand for you ( deli style) we will try to get as close as possible to the weight stated on the product page, however it is unlikely that we will get it exactly spot on, we are human after all!. We will never charge you more than on your total bill. So if we send less, we will refund you the difference. For hygiene purposes we vacuum pack our cheese for delivery, this is to avoid smelly surprises, it can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 months. Once the vacuum pack is opened there is a shorter shelf life, we recommend wrapping the cheese in cling film and store in the fridge to stop it from drying out, the beauty of this cheese is its matured so even if your cheese will show signs of small specks of mold just scrape it off and its perfectly fine to eat, and nothing gets thrown away , use the crust to grate or add them in boiling water to flavour your soup or sauces then throw away the rind.
